This page sets out the terms and conditions for using the Rootive website (rootive.co.uk) and for engaging Rootive's web design and development services. Rootive is operated by Ethan Fryer, trading as Rootive, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.
By using this website, or by engaging Rootive for a project, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the site or engage the services described on it.
1. Use of this website
This website and its content - including text, design, code, and images - are provided for general information about Rootive's services. You may browse and read the content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse the design, code, or written content of this site for your own commercial purposes without written permission.
2. Concept and demonstration projects
Projects shown on the Work page marked "Concept Project" are demonstration builds created by Rootive to showcase design and development capability. They are not real client engagements. Any business names, branding, or content shown in these projects are fictional or used for illustrative purposes only, and any resemblance to a real business is coincidental.
3. Services and quotes
Service tiers, features, and pricing shown on this website are indicative and intended to give a general sense of scope and cost. They do not constitute a binding quote or contract. A specific project only becomes a formal engagement once both parties have agreed written scope, pricing, and terms separately - typically following an initial enquiry and discovery conversation.
4. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing as part of a specific project, all content on this website - including the Rootive name, logo, design system, and codebase - remains the intellectual property of Rootive. Ownership of deliverables produced as part of a paid client project is set out in the agreement for that project, not by this page.
5. Limitation of liability
This website and its content are provided "as is". While reasonable care is taken to keep information accurate and up to date, Rootive makes no guarantees about completeness or accuracy, and accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of this website, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
